Steve Bateman came to Calvary Baptist as Pastor on December 7, 2009. He is a 2007 graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and earned a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies. He was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister in May 2003. Steve also is employed as a marketplace chaplain for companies in Mecklenburg and Union counties, NC. Steve and his wife, Kim are originally from Pennsylvania but have been living in NC since 1998.
Steve is married to Kim and they have a son, Josh and a daughter, Kerry is married to Travis Eudy and they have daughter, Makaila. Josh is married to Gloria and they have a son, Phoenix.
Steve and Kim live in Monroe, NC.

Kathryn M. Hutchens came to Calvary Baptist as the Ministry Assistant on April 23, 2003. She and her husband, Freddie are both native North Carolinians who moved to Lancaster, SC in July 2002.
Kathryn re-entered college life as an adult learner and earned a B.S. in Social Science from Gardner-Webb University in 1995. She worked in the Human Services field in North Carolina for 17 years. She also is a partner with Freddie in their consulting firm: Hutchens, Moore and Associates, LLC in Lancaster.
